Heat reflective windshield affect aftermarket GPS?

Wondering if anyone noticed this too. I have an aftermarket GPS (Navman) and am unhappy with it's performance. It shows routes, sees the satellites, etc., but is off ... meaning it tells me an exit about a half a mile too late, goes for any waypoints, they're late.

Manual for GPS says heat reflective windshields/glass will affect the performance so I guess it does. Just wondering if anyone else has noticed. May have to get an external antenna for my GPS if others have experienced same issue.

I don't have a problem with mine even w/ aftermarket tint. I suction it to the front windshield, and it's very accurate. Once it locates the satelites, it's smooth sailing.
