Hydraulic Floor Jack Placement on 07??

Hey guy's! I want to change my oil in my new G for it's first service. and I want to know where to safley place my Hydraulic Floor Jack on the G to lift the front so I can place Jackstands. I see under the car there is a Aluminum crossmember near the back right after the Front Diffuser cover. Now is that crossmember the correct and safe place to lift my G? I just want to make sure as I sure don't want to crack anything lifting my new G! All the cars I have, have big steel Crossmembers to lift the car, and this new G has very little areas it seems to lift the front up! I did a search on the forums here, and I found some info for the 1st gen sedans, but nothing for the new 07 G's? I would apprecite the info, Since i will be installing my Drop springs soon also. I need to know the safe way to lift the front of the G! Thanx again.

You're probably gonna have to just go with utilizing the factory recommended jack points under the door sills and just place jackstands on each corner as you go if you want the whole car up at once.

Most of my other cars could just be jacked up at one point in the middle of the car from front or back to get left/right up at once but as you said, the G doesn't seem to have a point strong enough(or accessible enough) to lift from. Besides, once the springs go on, the frame will be a lot lower to the ground and will probably require a smaller or atleast lower profile jack just to fit underneath.

I had my car on 4 floor jacks when I went to get my tires replaced... that **** made me nervous as hell, but nothing bad happened...

It can be done, you just have to figure out where to place the jack. Check out this pic that I took when the car was levitating...

For an oil change, I'd go with ramps. Your gonna have to pull off the rather large plastic shield under the motor on the S so you're gonna need the room anyway. Make sure you get one long enough to accomodate a lowered car.

Ok tank's guys and to treacherous for posting that little Pic showing the jack Points on the 07! So right now with my car at stock height, I can lift the front of the car on that small crossmember on the front near the steering rack? as that pic showed? Thats all I need to know to do my Oil Change, Now when I lower my car, that will be a diffrent animal to tackle! LOL.
