Steering Vibration

Got my car lowered with H&R springs about month ago and I took a nice 3 week vacation and when I came back I've noticed some vibration from streering wheel especially when going over 60mph.

Unfortunately I didn't have the car long before I went to vacation so I'm not 100% sure if I'm just imagining it (I drove POS old toyota corolla for 3 weeks, so kind of used to that) or is there really something going on. I checked the tire pressures and everything was fine, wonder if I have to do the 4 wheel alignment which I was planning to do anyway. Anyone else experienced anything like this?

You might try getting the wheels rebalanced. Most vibrations in the steering wheel result from the wheels/tires being slightly out of balance and it's usually noticeable above 60mph.

This is what I into post.

My mom has a 2005 Toyota Sienna and got a flat in the rear after about 4 months of ownership. She just got the tire repaired since the tires are freaking new... and it was so noisy. Oh it had the vibrating steering wheel too. About 2 months ealier, she got 4 new tires and wow, the ride is so much smoother, no retarded vibrating sounds and absolutely no steering wheel vibration.

Mine is vibrating also. I took it to the dealer and they told me it was not out of balance, but they did all 4 tires anyway. It still exists, but to a lesser extent and the dealer basically told me my car was fine and none of their techs felt any vibrations and there was nothing they could do. Infiniti of Chantilly, VA sucks for customer service.

Ditto on this one. The dealer told me they balanced all 4 tires on my previous car and I still had a problem. I went to another place and again they weren't balanced. Better, but not perfect. I finally took it to a High Performance shop to have springs installed and they balanced them for free. To my delight, they were perfect. He said they were off by a minute amount.

Argh! When I checked the tire pressures yesterday it was after after a long drive on very hot day (so I figured they will be high) and just made sure they were all even. This morning after the car had cooled down whole night I checked them again... to my surprise 39psi all around, lowered them to 34psi and you could tell the difference right away, still some vibration but tons less than before. I'll take my car in for alignment next monday so maybe it gets even better.

Went to dealer today and did alignment and they also balanced the tires and vibration is still it's there, didn't help that much.

Reading the tech notes it says they rounded it -2.00 deg front and rear and because the car is lowered it has changed the suspension geometry drastically and that combined with stiffer springs causes more road feel come into the streering...
