Anybody doing anything cool with their front ashtray? I've seen a few of the older Gs with Ipod mods built in which was pretty cool. But I'm trying to wait for the 08 Ipod to come out.

Is anybody doing anything else? I drop my change into it, and get frustrated every time that I do because I feel like there should be some kind of gadget in that spot.

Just wondering if anybody has done anything else.

i was originally going to have my remote radar detector display mounted in there, until the estimate got up to $800, and the installer couldn't promise a super-OEM looking install due to the shape of the ashtray and the mechanism complexities when he pulled it all apart.

Ended up mounting the display flush and countersunk in the cupholder (looks really nice). So now, I have my change in there. Whoopee...

 

i put my cellphone in there. But maybe when Tein comes out with some SS coilovers, it might be big enough to mount an EDFC?

 

I put my sirius starmate in there, fits like it was made for it...

 

i put my cell in there as well. i donno about edfc....im not a hardcore auto-x'er or tracker!

 

I put my Valentine One remote display in the ashtray.

 

the remote for my gps system fits in there

 

I just keep my CF cards in it.

I put my trash in there, keeps the rest of the car free of gun wrappers and other junk. My change goes in a large jug at home.

 

mine is full of loonies and toonies for parking

 

I put my cell phone or contraband in it.

 

That's the first place the cops look.
