Eibach Pro-Kit

For those of you that have installed the Eibach Pro-Kit Springs, have you needed to also install the Alignment Kit?

Was the alignment shop able to make the proper adjustments without it?

Yes, I had the rear their rear alignment kit installed. Without it, the rear alignment can not be adjusted within factory specs.

As of now, no alignment kit exists for the front (which is slightly out of spec on my car).

The car will still run fine without an alignment kits, but you may experience faster tire wear.

Thanks guys. The alignment kits are new to me, as I didn't need one on my BMW.

Now comes the hesitation. Are these kits just as safe to use as the springs?

Looking at the Eibach website, I see two different kits:
5.77660 "Rear arm +/- 4 degrees of camber, +/- 3 degrees of toe adjustment"
5.77265 "Rear toe +/- 3 degrees of adjustment

Then I checked Tire Rack for pricing, and I see this:
5.77660 "Rear camber +/- 4 degrees ($174.00 pair)"
5.77265 "Rear camber +/- 3 degrees ($29.00 pair)"

Which kit did you use? From the explanation at the Tire Rack, it sounds like you are paying an extra $145 for one degree of adjustment? That can't be right. What am I missing?

From what I recall, one of their kits come with BOTH camber arms AND toe bolts. The other kit was toe bolts only.

Looks like the tire rack $29 item is for the toe bolts only.

I'm not sure why anyone would ever need the toe bolts only kit.

Update on a front Camber Kit for the Front for our 07 G's! While Ordering the Stillen Intakes from my Sales guy there, I asked him why there is no Kit out yet for the Front's, And he told me they are Currently Working on a Kit as we speak. So Hopefully the Front Camber Kit will be out soon! Cross your Fingers. Hoepfully buy 2008 we will have a kit out! Hey Terrycs, maybe you Can check for us at Eibach, if this is really true, since you seem to get some Inside Info from them.!?

I bought both kits from Stillen because the sales rep said I needed both - you DON'T! When I had them installed I learned the Toe bolt kit were in essence a duplicate parts already in the camber arm kit. It is just a set of bolts, washers and nuts - for $29. The kit for $174 includes adjustable camber arms, bolts, washers and nuts. If I recall correctly the holes the camber arms mount through can be wobbled out to make the camber adjustment. If you need the toe bolts I have an set weighing down my work bench. Will sell for next to nothing.

Thanks so much for the clarification. It would be nice if it was more clear in the websites. Unfortunately, I don't need the toe bolts, as I will purchase the full kit (thanks to your explanation). See, you shouldn't have been so kind as to respond!

i decided to NOT go with the rear camber kit. the guy that did my alignment was able to get it close enough to spec to where it doesnt bother me too much.

its been a little while so i cant remember the exact numbers, but i believe he was able to get my rear camber to -1.1 or -1.2 or so degrees. i believe spec ends at like -.8 or so. my numbers could be completely wrong, but i remember at the time i was really surprised by how close to spec he got it without a kit.

the camber on my front is worse than the rear after the adjustments he was able to make. again, i cant remember the numbers, but it wasn't terribly far off of spec (further than the rear though i believe)
