Firewall

With some free time i am installing my srx radar detector tomm. Before I go searching for a spot into the firewall, is there anyone who knows of an easy spot to go into? Or do most people just drill a fresh hole? Thank you

Do you mind taking a few shots of the installation? I'm interested on how to hardwire my V1.

There's a spot on each side... go on the driver's side since you have a lot more clearance. There's a big *** grommet there that says LHD on it. Just be careful poking around through there... the main wire harness goes in there, and if you clip a wire it's gonna suck.

Speaking from experience, of course.

Dron, why don't you just get one of these www.stealthcords.com

It makes things a lot easier.

It does make things a lot easier indeed, however I don't have a power mirror, just a plain one. Any other thoughts?

Well get a new mirror of course...

You could always tap into the juice somewhere else in the cabin... there's plenty of power all over the place, even on the overhead lights.

Send me a PM if you would like me to work out a customized Invisicord for you to tap anywhere you can find a power harness. I am sure RKDiddy will eventually copy the customization services I offer for Invisicord as well in his stealthcord line-up, so that may be a way to go as well in the future.
