How do I reset the Oil Change Reminders?

I went into the maintenance section and reset the reminder distances, and even turned the reminders off, but they are still on when I turn the car on. I guess I shouldn't have gotten the oil changed at Jiffy Lube?

Rtfm!

Go to Info -> Maintenance -> Choose your reminder # and then choose Reset.

Hmmm... recycled oil? I paid extra for them to use Mobil 1, so, i would hope its not recycled.

All the dealers here suck, and they are an hour away, screw that.

As for the actual solution to my question- Thats what I did. I will try it again!

When I was 18, I bought a brand new Chevy Z24. Brand new and I then win a free oil change on a radio show. I bring my car in, get the oil change, and when the high school drop out mechanic pulled my car out, he forgot to set the parking brake (it was a manual trans)
My brand new car rolled right out of the lot, over a sidewalk, and into traffic.
Thankfully, nobody hit it.

The wife once used Jiffy Lube and when she got home... no dipstick. We had to go back and get it.

Also, when I was young, I worked at a Shell gas staion on weekends for some extra money.
I had a woman come in saying that her car smelled funny. She had been to Jiffy Lube that morning for an oil change.
I went out and found that her car was bone dry of oil... not a friggen drop on the stick.
They had drained it and forgot to fill it back up.
They had to drive some kid out with a bucket (yes, a bucket) of oil to pour into her car.

I'm not saying that they all suck and I've heard nothing of recycled oil, but from my experience alone, I also do not use Jiffy Lube.

I RTFM! and to reset the oil change and oil filter you have to access the menu through the 'trip computer'. Section 2-27 in the manual.

I don't think the car has to be running.
I reset mine with the ignition on, but the car was not running.
The ignition did have to be on though, yes.

that is interesting.
I only checkedbthe settings in the navi screen. I didn't think of checking the center gauge pod.
Good to know.

WTF... I do the dash computer method and hit reset.. brings me back to the menu, but I still get the reminders at start. I have the option of changing the mileage for that particular alert, but it just wont reset. Any clues? Navi based reset was easy.

Just keep doing it, you have to hit the button to select the setting, then again to set it. It was a pain, It took me 4 or 5 times to get it right. I got the filter one the first time, then the maintenance one on about the 3rd try, and finally the oil change one a few minutes later. It was a PITA! Goodluck!

Pilot error. I guess i was holding the reset for a second too long. A quick hit brought the reset confirm up instead of back to the menu.

Ok, so this is my first post and rather than start a new thread i have been lead to believe posting in a pre-existing one is preferable. So for a backstory on the problem I just bought my first car 06 g35 coupe 6MT and a few days after bringing it home the "change oil and filter" notification appeared on my nav screen, since i bought the car from a reputable dealer i assume that they changed the oil before they made the sale, and after checking the oil it looked way to clean to need changed. So basically my question is are the reminders that show up on the navigation screen set to show up by the previous owner or are they triggered by having low oil (I really hope my car doesn't consume oil)! Also i can't check the oil level on my car because whenever i put the dipstick back in and pull it out again it seems to be covered in oil, and i can't tell where the line is. Thanks.
