hilariously enough, i just sold my old accessport/came from an sti/that came from a wrx wagon/and i know all too well how silly it is for cobb to give a release date. they make good stuff, but they'd be late to their own funerals.

i see that cobb's site is still saying the AP for the g35 is "under development". i'm so not surprised.

those of you dying for an engine management solution: keep in mind that when you do eventually smog your car, there is an ID number in the ecu that neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeds to not be overwritten. basically the diag software pulls that s/n and runs it against your VIN. if the two don't match what is on file, you catch hell for it. this started in 05. your mileage may vary, as i'm writing this from california. cobb's ap for the sti didn't touch that s/n so all was well.

I bought a tuner for my Gt500 mustang and it increased the rear wheel hp by 35-40. It cost around 400bucks and took 5 minutes to change the settings, and saved the original settings so the y could be put back in if you had to take the car in for service. Hopefully someone will come out with one soon. It also helped the mileage a little.

keep in mind that mustangs are NOTORIOUSLY undertuned by ford. I remember a variety of relatively common-looking parts (intake manifolds/exhaust pieces) that weren't anything special would kick the sn95 up about the same amount that you got from the tuner...and then you had tuning on top of that.

While i'm hoping there is something to be gained in tuning, I just don't think we'll see much more than some low end bump and a little peak gain on the G. keep in mind that breathing mods do jack and **** for the car--10 to 15 hp after i/h/e is civic gains, sorry.

come on, surprise me with the gains. i dare you, cobb (this can't end badly for me, right?)

^^ I agree very minimal gains. If anything they will have an option to smooth out the tip-in and maybe a couple of other little things. I think the peak will jump a bit but the overall area under the curve will not change too much. not until you add some real mods.

+1 Waiting for the Accessport. Had one for my 02 WRX, what a wonderful gadget.

All i want is the top speed limiter to go away!!! All these cars have V-rated tires,, they should act like it... and go like it! X or not .

Just checked their blog, they're have beta testers now running and reporting back. Not sure if they have '07s running though, didn't see an '07 driver reply.

http://forums.cobbtuning.com/forums/...159#post519159

Feel free to encourage them to do '07s!
