Anyone upgraded their Nav. DVD since purchase?

Looking to get an update to my current Nav DVD.. I still have the one that came with the car in May '07.

Anyone getting it from the dealer? or is there a website or something?

Thanks

The NAV system is on HDD; are you saying you can buy a DVD and update it? Our cars don't have a DVD drive anywhere, just CDs. I think it needs to be updated on the 30GB HDD.

If I recall, this was discussed before and the consensus was, you'd need to find a wrecked 2008 G35 from a junkyard and get it's HDD and swap it with yours.

I suppose if you had a friend with an 08 you could ghost the HDDs but ripping apart then entire dash on two brand new cars is more risk than reward.

Nope, it's HDD based, hence why we get the musicbox with nav. The M35/M45 is DVD based however.

There are a lot of other threads about the udpates. I don't think the updates are available yet for our cars. I seem to recall there are supposed to be availble in the fall.

Okay, I answered my own question..

I talked to a guy at Zenrin in SF and he told me the updates for the 07/08 sedan will be available May 1st.

Apparently it's 190.00 + tax and they give you a code through email, which you bring to your infiniti dealership and they install it on your hard drive using the're system to download it to your HD.

I didn't ask him if they'll need to format the whole HD or not.. Which would suck because I have a years worth of music on mine..

here's the official site
