Journey on Eibachs
I installed the Pro Kit lowering springs on my 2007 Journey sedan about 3 weeks ago. I've got 12k miles on the original 17s but will be upgrading to 19s once the originals are done. My question is, should I bother getting an alignment on the stock 17s (they need it, the rears are negative and toe is off on front)... But will I need another alignment when I upgrade the rims as well? If so, then I'll just leave it alone, but if not, I might as well do it and get some extra mileage out of the stock.
By the way.. No regrets on the springs. LOVE the ride. Got the Journey since I'm a "family" man now (coming from a sport BMW 3 series). Ugh, missed the handling.. Now I don't have buyers regret for the Journey anymore and that's while still riding on the 17s... Can't wait for the rim/tire upgrade.
Thanks...

You may as well do the alignment. The new wheels/tires will not alter the alignment settings.

I'll add my two cents since I was worried as well. I never test drove the sport so I can't compare. But it is not bouncy at all. Same here, wife did not like the BMW sport ride.. too bouncy for her, especially pregnant. She hasn't even noticed I dropped the car. The car is much more commincative.. Before, I was disconnected from the road.

Good comments... I've avoided wheels/suspension as I've not liked those changes on other cars. Nothing worse than spending thousands of dollars and not liking driving your car. My Jetta and Passat did not ride that well and I ended up removing the Eibachs.
Nice to hear that it might be better on the G. Rethinking my position on wheels/lowering now. Thanks for the Post guys. Good info!
