I see the resemblance to the neon scoop, as the shape is similar, but definitely not the same setup/look IMO. Here's what I see as differences:

The neon has a black plastic insert and in front of the scoop, the hood is depressed down to make room for the opening and the side flares are very pronounced. On the G, there really doesn't look like there's a black plastic insert (there is a shadow though), the hood has a bulge in it behind the opening (instead of a depression in front) and the side flares are minimal & shorter.

I personally think the lines of the scoop match the hood well.

What shape/type of scoop do you think would look good on the G hood instead?

That doesn't look bad, but there's no scoop on it .

I agree... scoops are for sucking in air for a top-mounted intake or IC.

If you need more room, add a bump not a cheesy intake.

With a roots type blower as that one is, they get really really hot. I know because i use to run one on my previous vehicle. Once i put the intercooler on it got a little cooler, but it still was very hot. Those blowers arent very efficient but they are reliable and can take a hell of a beating. PLus if something goes wrong there are few moving parts to replace. The incoming air will drastically help reduce heat from the blower and in turn prevent KR and keep timing as high as possible when in boost. 335 hp to the wheels is a big gain. My last vehicle was a high 14 sec car before the blower. After the blower, intercooler, and only a 3.5" pulley, i dropped down to around 13.4's with only 95 additional hp to the wheels. Thats a hell of a difference. With these cars being high 13 sec cars to begin with stock and making around 250-260 to the wheels, 335 is a 75-85 hp increase. That could lead to over a 1 sec drop with a good driver and good traction. I dont care what anybody says. A 12 sec luxury sedan with a v6 is something to respect whether its on the street or the strip.
