High Beam Noises?

So i was driving around acouple nights ago.. i eventually stopped and parked for some smokes. while chillin inside mycar i started to flip the high beams on and off.. i noticed a soft clicking noise comming from the engine compartment. I was wondering if it was a problem.. or does everyone have it too?? thanks

I'm not a 100% but i think our lights have the shutter system where when you flip on the high beams the shutter is moved up to allow full light to be expelled from the housing. Someone please confirm this though..

ya, the shutters act like eyelids on our hids, you also might be hearing the relay kick on and off. the relay is an electronic switch that handles the full power of the head light under the hood and allows the switch up by ur hand to be smaller and only handle millivolts and milliamps.

you flick the switch which in turn engages the relay (that makes a soft click) and the shutters move(also maken a click).

that clicking sound is called a relay, it's an electromagnetic on and off switch and it's completely normal.
