Power Window Auto-Up Feature

Hey guys,
I posted a thread on this subject about a month ago and yet again continue to experience the same problem so I wanted to get thoughts and recommendations. It began the 2nd week after I picked up my 08 Journey. The auto-up feature of the driver side window began to not function. It works perfectly fine when pressing the switch for the auto-down but not the auto-up. The passenger side has never had this problem, mostly because I dont have many passengers making use of it. Up to this point the dealer has "re programmed" , "re-set", "replaced the power window motor", and I have even gone as far as not even using the feature to avoid having the problem. So today I go to try the auto-up feature and it STILL dont work!

So after 8 months of owning the car its happened over 6 times and the dealer continues to say to me, "why dont you bring it and we'll take a look at it". I've gone through 3 different service advisors and now I'm at the service manager. I'm concerned that this electrical or computer issue is gonna lead to bigger problems down the road.

Should I be concerned and what do you reccomend I do?

Try a different dealer, maybe they can figure out what it is? Have them bring in Infiniti?

The only time I've had this problem was when my battery was disconnected. To reset it, I just held the down button down for 10 seconds and then then up button for 10 seconds after it was fully rolled up.

Yea both the service department and myself have tried that method 4 times already and it still has'nt fixed the problem. Its not like im in my car all day long rolling the window up/down using the auto feature, thats why this is so frusterating.

I hope it's not some sort of a power/electric problem then. Do you notice if any of your other settings get reset like the door memory and/or mpg calculator?

No its just the window. I know its a really small issue, but it bugs me because its been so repetative and frequent. You would think that after replacement of the power window motor, the problem would be fixed permanently.

I have this same problem and it just started the day I got my aftermarket system put in...I tried to reset the window but it's still doing it...wtf?!

i tried this method where, i roll the window down manually and then hold it down for 4 seconds...then i roll the window up manually and then hold it up for 4 seconds...this seemed to work after i restarted my car...but today the same thing is happening...grrrr

i use auto-up more than i do auto down so i'm pissed!!!!

It probably doesn't, but I was thinking it might be tricking the sensor in thinking it's too far up or too far down...mine actually does the auto-up now...

After reaching my destination, I put the car in park. Did the window-reset and just shut my car off. When I came back after work, everything was working okay...I cleaned my windows with invisible glass just to make sure nothing was causing any friction...

Well based on my conversation yesterday wit the service manager, he stated that the system is "losing memory". He actually asked me how long the tint had been on my windows, and it had been since day one. Hopefully it gets fixed, because none of my cars in the past have had this issue. Funny, I've been considering 20" wheels for my car and the loaner I have right now has the sport wheel package and I notice the increase in road noise and the right being a little more stiff, but when taking corners at high speeds, theres less body roll.

i hope you get your stuff fixed man, tell us what they did to fix it if they do. yeah whenever i drive a non-sport g35, i feel more body roll...i don't know if this is due to the tires or just the different suspension

Thanks man, will do. Yea its not the sport package, just sport wheels. Basically since there are wider tires, there's more surface area and traction.
