Body Flex & GT-Spec Ladder Bar

Ok...after several searches I've only come up with a few threads that address the body flex. And like many others, I have it when backing out of my driveway or going up steep inclines at an angle.

I believe that this flex is what is causing the rear deck to rattle, sunroof rattles, and the front windshield to also move out of place (as in the other threads). It's only when doing a movement like this that i have the issues...and in LA, we have wierd hills everywhere and wicked parking entrances...and not wicked in a good way.

I've researched the GT Ladder bar...but has anyone installed it and to what effect? I have a three year lease, and rattles are not a part of my agenda. So if this is a fix, plus will upgrade the handling, then I'm all for it.

If it works...where did you get it and how much? The GT site they are 300. Easy install, or?

Thanks.

can you post a link? I can't find anything for a ladder bar for our car.

If your talking about the strut tower brace, then there's some info on it here and they're currently on BO. I should have mine hopefully w/in 2 weeks.

I was speaking of this one:

http://www.gtspec.com/index.php?nav=...id=144&cat=153

But if the others work, and are less costly...then I would use them as well.

I thought some people had used the GT Spec ones in the past...and was calling on them for input.

Thanks for your links...more to look into.

^ true but first we would have to confrim that it will fit the 07+ sedans as it MIGHT have diffirent mounting points(that i doubt) but still be sure before you order.... and yes that should help you with the body flex issue that you're having as our cars have no bracing in the center of the car which flexes the most so that should tighten things up a bit G/L

that's not a ladder bar and it's not for the 350z and G35 coupe, not 07+ sedan; however this lower tie brace will fit the sedan:

http://www.gtspec.com/index.php?nav=...id=153&cat=153

And I have the Tanabe under brace here to install.

I just spoke to GT Spec and they will have all the production braces available next month for our Gen G35 sedans. They have to finish fit and test on the mid chassis, but the others are completed.

So I guess I'm waiting until then as what I really need is the mid chassis.

I'll post when/if I know more.

Bump...question...will the center chassis brace be enough, or do you guys think I need the other bars from GT Spec or Tanabe?

This is my daily as i'm buying a 350Z as my toy.

Input?

Well on the new G's the only one that has those items right now is Paul(paulg35) Most of us have the gtspec front strut bar, which is an extremely well built unit that does what it should w/ease.

the GT Spec strut bar and the center chassis brace should be enough, but whatever under car bracing you get, I'd couple it with a strut tower brace. The strut tower brace will do more as one single item than the mid chassis brace will, together they should work well.

Ok...so i'm getting I should get both the mid chassis AND the Strut bar. If I get the strut brace now, will that help with the body flex that is making the front/rear windshield creak? Or jsut upgrade the suspension travel?

thanks for the explanations...every car I've had so far didn't really need one added. I did add one on my SRT8, but it made almost no difference.

Is the one you bought the GTS-SUS-1332?
