ive been looking into getting a new system for my g35 i want to spend around 1600. the only problem is i dont know too much about systems if anyone could guide me in the right direction on what to get... i was looking into 2 JL audio w7 10 inch but i dont know what amp to get and all the other things i would need to buy

 

Depends on how much bass you are looking for. If you go with the w7s (I am speaking from experience here) get ready to upgrade just about everything in the car, batteries, ground wire, 0 gauge all throughout the car, new high output alternator, minimum 2 farad cap. and even if you "dynomatt the **** out of your car" I guarentte you will have rattle because those things are fkin loud. Plus you have no choice but to get the 1000/1 amp (in my opinion) for the best sound. Those subs are very power hungry and will take as much pwr as they possibly can. I would suggest 2 w6s or w3s if u want good sound but don't want to deal with all the things that a w7 requires.

Basic things needed:
1 amp I recommend 500/1
1 amp kit run 0 gauge if you can if not 4 gauge is sufficent
1 cap 1 farad should be fine
1 clean sweep or equivalant don't just run a high to low converter

Your choice:
2 10" w6s or 3 w3s (up to you) in the stealth box from JL. Or a custom box for your trunk

Anything more than a single 12" W3 is going to way overpower the rest of your speakers.

Plus the box you'd need for two W7s would pretty much take up your entire trunk.

Take it from an ex-W7 owner...it's too much power for the G...trust me bro, if you had an escalade, i'd say go for it
