I Just Ordered...HELP

Hey everybody...I just ordered the Stillen High Flow Cats...I was wondering if those will make my car any louder...On the website description it says that it will make my exhaust sound more raspy...Is that good or bad?...And can someone post a video of a HKS Muffler with cats if you have one please...thanks
chris cary

they'll make it a little louder and raspier, but how much depends on the mufflers and I'm not sure how the hks will sound with the HFCs.

If I were you, I would only order the HFC's if you want the exhaust to be louder, drone more, and have more rasp.

If not, CANCEL QUICKLY!!

The addition of 5hp wil pale in comparison to an annoying exhaust. What sounds good and what's annoying is personal preference.

Also, you asked about "rasp."

Personally, I think it's a terrible thing. But, some people like the sound. It's that high pitched "cackle" you hear when someone is revving or at high rpms.

I like a smooth, mellow, more deep exhaust sound personally. No rasp, no drone.

Here's a video of a car that has a raspy exhaust with HFCs (or possibly no cats). I don't like it.

Compare that to a car with a mellow exhaust sound (magnaflow)

(funny who's name came up when I searched youtube)

I know they're different year G35's, but they all sound similar with exhaust IMO.

IF you still have the stock Y-pipe and resonators the HFCs shouldn't make a huge difference in the sound, yes louder, probably not any rasp to speak of.

Funny that you order first and ask questions second.

Some people look for confirmation rather than advice. I have a few friends like this.

After a while, you just stop bothering giving advice and just say, "oh.... nice buy."
