Race Precision Air Scoops

http://www.m5board.com/vbulletin/m5-...available.html

Pretty big hit on the M5/M6's. My buddy with the M6 just got his on and said its slight but very nice.... if there is enough interest he will produce these, he said it would be around $200. Gains on other cars he's used these on were 17-20 rwhp but are to be used with stock airbox.

He gave me a short tutorial on intakes and it was quite informative and made a lot of sense. Again this is just to see interest only. He will do the R&D on my car if this is soemthing you all would be interested in.

Being that most of our aftermarket intakes have been sub par at best I thought this might be something to venture into.

Let me know your thoughts and if you MIGHT be interested.

Thanks!

Whaaa...?? We already have scoops drawing cold air from the front, that add six HP at 60 mph. Why would we need these?

Not to rain on your parade.... but I tried one of these on my M roady.
It *may* add HP, but not where you need it for street.
Peak HP numbers are meaningless, you need to see the area under the curve.

It may help a bit on the track, but I felt absolutely nothing on my car on the street.
I took it off & sold it.

How? The HRs have two air scoops at the front of the engine bay now, and already experience a ram air effect as noted. How is this better?

They're not!
I know several guys with Z4Ms that experience no effect.
The product also looks homemade.
It's painted sheet metal joined with rivets.
