I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO ADD PICTURES ON HERE SO IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURES PLEASE FOLLOW THIS LINK IT IS A CAR DOMAIN PAGE IF YOU WANT ALL THE PICTURES SENT TO YOU IN THE FORM OF AN E-MAIL PLEASE PM ME OR IF YOU WANT TO SOMEHOW MAKE THIS BECOME A STICKY THANKS!!! CLICK HERE FOR INSTRUCTIONS

This might be long and hopefully my battery does not die because i can't find my charger !!! you need a ratchet with a 10mm with an extension, a somewhat long Phillip head screwdriver, a small flathead or something you can use to push a tab in and a light. a flashlight or a droplight.

I will type as much as i remember from doing it.

The very first thing i did well the first thing you should do is disconnect the battery i know for a fact i didn't. oops.

empty out your glovebox you don't want your goodies all over the place while you are trying to work

Open you passenger side door and remove the plastic step finisher (not the doorsill/kickplate) but the step finisher if you will... take that out.

Then remove the right side panel where the BCM sits, there is one plastic nut holding it.

if you look under the glove box the bottom flat area above where your feet rest there is a black piece that covers the blower for the a/c remove that cover by sliding it out of the way

Open your glove box and look for all the screws that secure if i remember correctly there are 4 or 5 some inside and a coupe outside and you might also have to remove the aluminum piece that is on your dash. it snaps right out i think theres a screw or two back there (the one that's shaped like a sword)

after all the screws are out there is a string attached to the back of your glove box compartment i guess it acts as a spring mechanism so the door goes down slowly when you open it. simply take the clip off and let it roll back

once all visible screws are out there are two 10mm on each side of the glovebox assembly towards the bottom corners.

at this point your glove box should be pretty loose DON'T try yanking it out. there is ONE more screw.

The next step is to remove the actual glove box compartment aka where your crap sits. slide it towards the left and the pin should be out of the "tracks" or "guides" you'll see what i'm talking about when you look at it. slide it to the opposite side and once both pins are out of track you can just let the compartment drop down, pull up and get it out of your way.

removing the compartment reveals the last screw, now look for the last screw it is towards the top.

once that screw is out you can remove what's left of glovebox assembly.

Voila you can now see your ECU, You BCM, Your God knows what, your thingie mcbobbies.

okay so... the clips that hold the wire harness into the ECU were designed to keep idiots away aka myself... it took me nearly an hour to figure out how to take them off hahaha. so ... you're going to see a small push tap very small... there are three different connectors start with the one closest to the back of the car and work your way in. . . with your finger nail or a small flat head hold the tab in and there is a small swivel like locking mechanism so hold the tab down and slide the swivel thing until it releases the connector.

repeat that for all three connectors, once all connectors are off and the ECU is unplugged from your car remove the two 10mm bolts that hold the ecu's bracket in place. there is one in the back of the ecu and there is another one in the front.

now you can remove the ecu you might have to jiggle it around the wires a little but now you're pretty much home...

if you're sending it to technosquare remove the device attached to the ecu.. well actually just remove the ecu from the bracket and send it in!!!

WOOOOOO My ECU is actually away right now for re-tuning so once it is back i might be able to take pics of the reverse install which could probably work for removal too since i can just post them in the opposite order for now this should keep you busy. hopefully if i do get some pics going we can make a sticky out of it. good luck.
