Need help removing driver's door panel

I just bought an '08 G35x and have noticed a nasty screeching sound when pressing anywhere around the aluminum trim/door handle area. The colder it is outside, the worse it gets. It's been in the 20's and 30's here in MN and I want to get this taken care of before it gets too cold. I was going to just remove the aluminum trim, but I read elsewhere that it doesn't come off. Therefore, I did a search on this and read the DIY on how to remove the door panel. I have all 3 bolts removed, but how do you un-clip the door panel? I unfortunately don't have any special tools for this. Can anyone describe what the clips look like and how many there are on the bottom side of the panel? Pictures would be great if anyone has any. I need to know if I should be pushing in or up or whatever. I've been outside for about 3 hours and my fingers are going numb.

I appreciate your help. The noise coming from this area sounds like I'm walking in a really old house with crickety floors. I'm sure it's just some plastic parts rubbing up against one another.

GP - I live in cold country too but havent experienced such problems. As far as a manual check out this site http://www.psedog.com/cars/fsm/g35/sedan/ to d/l a complete service manual for the 07, so far as I know the 08 is the same.

Thanks ez-g. That does help quite a bit. Does anyone know if it's simply a matter of slipping in a flat head screw driver near the clips and popping them loose? What kind of clips are they?

first make sure all the screws are out (u said u did this already) on the coupes you just slip a flathead under the bottom of the door panel and pull outwards away from the door to pop the clips out and once the clips are out you lift up on the door panel and it comes away.. then theres 1 plug for the light and 2 wires for the handle.. hope this helps

that cant be all there is to it, im doing it right now, and(at least in the case of the sedan, maybe the coupe is different) the panel comes up and sits in the window channel. this would be simple enough except the peice of plastic around the doors handle doesnt seem to want to come out; i've removed the screw, however the cover must have its own clips behind it(i can see at least one when i attempted to pry it), and i subsequently cant get the panel off.

Off to find a better DIY!!!
