Why are the 07-08 G35xs' limited to 130 when in 03-06 they were limited to 150? That and the RWD models go 150+?

Even the EX is limited to 144, and the FX im sure is right around there to.

Just curious.

 

haha, tere's all kines of debate on this! some guy's posted thier X's went just up to 130, some other report above 130. and on some peeps "S" model G'' with Auto or 6MT, some got stuck at 130, some other went above 130 up to like 150 plus!?? My G went up to 135 with ease. so seem's somehow some cars are diffrent foe some reason? LOL. I would like to know why also, along with many other here, HAHA

 

Mine is limited to 136... and I hate the guts outta this.

It's funny because when I first bought the car back in 07, I swear to God that mine has gone up to 155. Although it was only once that I tried...

Well we were going back to South Dakota, and my dad was cruising, and it would like, forcefully stop at 130. You could tell it would go faster, but the damn thing was limiting it.

Our old 04 would go around 150. It took awhile, but it went that fast. WHY infiniti would cut it back so much is beyond me.

 

Like Alan, I've been up to 145 and I know it had more, but I've only done it once.

 

178mph. This is the max speed on my nav screen. I am pretty sure that there is +15-20 mph on it as I saw the needle past the 160mph mark a little going down a long hill.

 

I was racing my friend on the highway one day. My car was stuck on 130mph it wouldnt go higher. he has the 2005 g35 and hit 145mph with his. Why are we limited to 130mph? all that hp we should be aloud to go higher.

 

Wouldn't trust the nav unless you watch it from 0-??? mph. My GPS has told me many times that my max speed was 435-560 mph.

 

You're not hitting 178 mph in your X unless you drop it out of a plane.
