Hey guys, i'm not sure if i ****ed up my car or not.
I was at a light to enter the freeway and i decided to launch the car. It was sort of like a uphill slope. I put it in DS and i turned off vdc. I just let go of thee gas i punched it. It peeled out till 7,600rpm and then the car felt like it popped into neutral. I dried to put it in D and it still felt like it was in neutral. So pulled on the side of the freeway and turned off my car and turned it back on. No check engine light, no weird noises. I put it into D and it was back to normal. D worked fine, DS worked fine, and M worked fine. I gunned it a few more times on the freeway and it was normal. Everything works fine and everything sounds normal.
But I don't know if i damaged the car in anyway. Can you guys tell me what could've happened and if my car might be damaged. It feels fine, but do you think it was because I was on a uphill slope peeling out till 7,600rpm right when its about to shift.

Please help me out, the last thig i want to hear is that the car needs to be checked or something or taken to the dealer.

 

Hahahahahaha!!!!!! I did the same thing a long time ago, but the only difference was that the ground was wet and I had bald tires so it was soooooo much easier for me to rev allllll the way up to redline.... and it went into limp mode like you. O_o

But since then... I've had no problem what so ever. I probably drove like 10,000 miles since and it's normal... I don't think you should worry about this, Robby.

But the car peeled out like crazy, the tires still have like 90% tread on them lmao

I still launch my car, but my tires grip tooooo nicely these days. hahaha

no crazy burn out up to redline. my tires grab much before that.

But yeah... it was the exact story... (on ramp before freeway) hahahaha

I need to get my ****ing tires for my car already. I hate these fvcking bridgestones, can't grip for ****. After i got my reflash the car burns out like crazy.

Bridgestones are GREAT tires. I'd rather have Bridgestones instead of Falkens.

You just need wider ones in the back.

 

I'm getting those Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta tires. I read so many reviews on driver about them and everyone says they are great.
What do you think about these tires?

I had them and IMO, Falkens are better or you can even get the T1Rs from Toyo.

All the reviews i read, people took these over T1R, 452, and some guy liked them better than his ps2's.
I dno which one to get. I'm stick between Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas and Toyo T1Rs.

 

No you can't. You'll need spacers in the front.

 

That's up to you, but I'm just stating what I felt about that tire.

BTW, I heard those Vredsteins are pretty damn cheap compare to the 452s and T1Rs.

 

Ya they are much cheaper, but all the BMWs in Europe come with these tires.
I'll try them out. This is the only tire that i have researched on that didn't get one bad review or negative comment. So they seem to be really good and the price is great.
