If you're considering the K&N or any other short ram intake, you might want to wait until the Injen and R2C get more reviews in before ordering (unless price is an issue, the K&N is the cheapest).
Exhaust is purely personal in preference, as one exhaust may sound good to you and like crap to another, and vice versa.

i assume you want more power, so use dyno numbers with the mods. i dynoed 282 with 2.25" catback with large x, resonators, magnaflows and a tune at techno square. the intakes are stock with K&n filters. there are dyno figures on this site for most mods. my exhaust was cheap $600., so u don't need to spend a lot.
You mention that you hope to gain some performance from these mods.
If that is the case, the Tanabe medallion setup won't work for you. It's an axle back setup which means that the restrictive y-pipe, lack of an x-pipe (or h-pipe) and smaller diameter pipe remain in place.
If you want to see gains, you'll need a cat-back at the least. Some have gone the route of high-flow cats as well.
I love my Fast Intentions Cat-Back but some have chosen other routes, either for cost or sound.
You have a lot of options but if you hope to see gains, look beyond an axle-back setup.

thanks guys for the great suggestions!
I really wanted to gain some hp from the exhaust systems, so im looking for catback exhausts. FI sounds really good I migh consider this setup.
a friend of mine uses fujitsubo in his 05 coupe and it sounds really2 good. is it worth waiting?
Ill go with the k&n intake for now
Im located in boston where r u kul g35
