ABS, VDC, SLIP lights ON and no power on G35

I slammed my 2008 G35 sedan onto another's bumber while hitting the brakes really hard to avoid collision. No car external damage, but all of a sudden the ABS, VDC Off, SLIP, and "!" lights came on. Also the brake lights on the car's end are conctalty on, so I disconnect the battery to avoid a runoff. The car won't accelerate when i depress the gas to the floor and the max speed achievable is 50 to 65MPH. Anyone with same troubles after a collision?

I had a very similar problem only i could only go 10mph. Had infiniti tow it and they said the problem was a cracked throttle body. Sounds very similar tho, i had all of the same lights. The only difference is my car could only reach 10mph. hope this helps and deffinitely try and bring it to a shop or dealer asap. Good luck

This is the first time im hearing this, for patty it makes sense if it were the TB since he could not go over 10mph but i would be surprised if it were TB in your case as well considering it does get to 50-60mph.

Regardless of how hard you hit the brakes the car should not do that and should be covered under warranty considering its a big time safety hazard, whenever i hear anything like this i say the car went in limp mode where it does not react that quickly, however that should go away after a restart and cool down and should not keep you brake lights on.... take your car in and keep us posted.

Smile ABS, VDC, SLIP lights ON and no power on G35 - Problem Solved

I couldn't pass the 20 MPH mark when initiating travel from a cold start! So it was pretty muhc like the problem observed by Patty. Anyhow, it was after a while that my car was able to reach 50-60MPH on thefreeway.

ABS, VDC, SLIP lights ON and no power on G35 - Problem Solved

I forgot to mention how I solved it. Well, I did kind of old school check (no OBD etc.). I went down and check/inspect the 2 switches on the brake pedal. One switch (i beleive it was the Stop Lamp Swaitch) seemed to be trigerring the brakes, and causing all this mess. I just pulled the switch, and adjust the brake pedal travel until it made contact with the switch... and the stop lights went off, and all the ABS/VDC/SLIP lights went OFF for good.

Cost of repair - just a couple of beers aferwards
