Car runs fine but has BCM code B260A that comes up as an Ignition Relay Code
Hi, I have a 2007 g35 sedan and I have had the BCM code B260A for several years now. The car has not ignition problems other than for the fact that every few months the car will not start or even crank as if the battery is completely dead but all interior electrical systems work fine, and as soon as I jump start the car it cranks and starts fine. I don’t know if this issue relates to the B260A code, but can someone please let me know what this code means and ways that it can be solved? I have searched everywhere online to try and find out but nothing.
Thanks,
Daniel

So the IPDM (engine bay fuse box, Intelligent Power Distribution Module) is basically just a computer that controls some relays based on a command signal from either the BCM or ECM. Functions like turning on the radiator fans, starting the engine, turning on the headlights, parking lights, etc. All run through the IPDM computer.
There are two main types of relays in the IPDM, when you take off the case cover there are the components you can see, a handful of relays and a bunch of fuses, however there are also relays build onto the circuit board that you CANNOT see. They are non-serviceable, you would need to desolder them from the board and solder on new ones.
The integrated relays are monitored, that code means you're having some kind of intermittent failure of the integrated start relay. The fix is to replace the entire IPDM, fortunately there's quite a surplus available because so many G35 vehicles have been parted out. It's important that you get THE EXACT SAME PART NUMBER. There is a sticker on the fuse/relay/front side of the IPDM under the waterproof cover, it has a 10 digit alphanumeric number and a large letter. You need the 10 digit number to match EXACTLY, otherwise some of the optional equipment your exact chassis has might not work properly.
