i added piaa 168 bulbs which are the thicker 194s in the map light
:fruit first mods piaa map lights before (stock)

after :jawdrop

left piaa right stock

but my concern is that they do get a lot hotter, when i had these bulbs in my other car in the clear corners it melted the side markers.
any suggestions/comments.

Here is what I have installed into 3 2007 G35 Sedans - looks really nice. The generic bulbs are all the same (#194/168)
I ordered from SuperBrightLEDS

2 x WLED 4-LED bulb for Door (I have two cars with white, one with blue)
2 x WLED 4-LED bulb for License Plate
2 x WLED 4-LED bulb for Rear Reading Lights
2 x WLED 5-LED Wide Angle LED bulb for Map Lights
1 x WLED 5-LED Wide Angle LED bulb for Trunk (tried the 6-LED, but the 5 spreads light much better. )

I've replaced the door and map lights with LEDs from superbrightleds.com - noticed that the fadeout effect is no longer there (the lights just turn off when the door is closed). Is that something that was to be expected when replacing stock lighting with LEDs?

Most LEDs just turn off when you close the door instead of fading out because they use significantly less power than the stock bulbs.
Some members have said they still get the fade out though.

I have my LEDs on the way kinda hoping I can still get the fade out but not expecting it at all. Can't wait to get rid of the yellow lights in there.

You probably won't even miss the fade out once you have them installed, they look so much better than the yellow lights.

I just recieved my LEDs in the mail today. Just got done setting them up in fact and I still got the fade . Love the color vs. the old yellow. Best cheap mod I have done to date!
