Infinity BASSLINK installed *pics*

Got the basslink installed yesterday. Sound is great and it definetly compliments the SOW. I am very satisfied with the low bass this thing pull off. Now having 4 subs in the car all i wanna do is drive around is listen to music . Its not to loud but i like how i can adjust the bass on the little **** they supply. I mounted mine under my steering wheel column.

Install only took about 2 hours. I decided to mount it against the wall like that kid who did the MTX BASSLINK,i figured this is the best spot to put the box that will have less interference with whatever i have in the trunk.

looks good. does it really add noticeable bass? i'm debating on whether to do this to my new 37 when it arrives or make use of my (2) JL 12W0s and Alpine V12 5.03 which is currently in storage.

of course, the basslink will offer maximum trunk space. plus, i'm not as hardcore into the deep bass as i used to be.

edit: as asked above, did you use an LOC or were there the ellusive RCA outs that people have been murmuring about lately?

If you have 2 JL 12'' you wont notice the bass on a single 10''. I notice it alot and i think its a perfect set up for the SOW. I would reccomend it for you if you get that G37 and you want to have trunk space. I also am not hardcore into bass like i use to be, so thats why i went with this set up. Also i got it on Amazon for like 225 shipped and the install was free

i'm definitely thinking about going this route. install was free due to the purchase at Amazon or your electrician was being nice?

i thought about this...i figure i can fold the carpet over and get out the spare..or of anything unscrew the screw on the floor and mover the box out. its better than having a huge box int he back, and you need to get the spare out

The Basslink is a great system. I installed it myself on my Mazda 6. The remote control is my favorite part. You don't need to mount an amp anywhere since it's built in. The sound is probably not as clean as some expensive JLs, but I got mine for $150 from eBay, so I'm not complaining. I never had to turn it up to the max levels because it had enough umph for me already (esp. without dynomatting my trunk and other areas). It's very compact, too. Too bad our trunks are already small. I sold my Mazda 6 with the sub included.

The Basslink accepts both low-level RCA inputs (direct from your amp) and high-level inputs (splice into the wires between the stock deck at the speakers). I'm not sure how our system wiring works behind the head unit.

I really like the Basslink (from previous experience). Decent sound without a lot of fuss. Sure it doesn't go really low but it gives solid 40Hz sound and the bass is tighter than a lot of setups that do go low. I just don't know if it would be worth it to wire a hefty 12V line from the battery to the trunk.

Also, how are people fastening it so it doesn't move?

HEY! That was me with the MTX, I'm not a kid, I'm 25! Heck, I'm going to be a father in about 3 months!

I think that these basslink-type deals are all you really need to add to the stock system, anything more would be overkill and a waste of money and space IMO.

So, so installed that with a new amp, or connected to the factory amp? I got 07 G sport, with the sound package and everything. And i have 2 L7 kicker's laying around from my previous car. If i wanna get them hooked up i would need a amp for sure? Correct?
