Anyone Remove Front Bumper?
I just spent 445.00 on buying and spraying a new front bumper for my blue slate G35 sedan because of a flying metal object on the freeway. Anyone have detailed instructions on removing the front bumper? I do it to my Z all the time and I assume they are similiar, but I want to know for sure how to do it. Can anyone help?? I don't want to spend another 3 bills in 'labor' at my dealership!

sure i think i could help you out i;ve done a FEW times
Procedure: Take off all plastic tabs that hold bumper on car.......remove all of the bottom screws that hold bumper....turn wheel to the right and then peel back the plastic and there is two bolts in there that you have to loosen(dont forget to remove your corners first), then turn the wheel to the left and do the same thing....once those are all taken off the bumper is free for you to take off........ I hope that helps you out. |
^^ everything he said and also one more screw hidden behind the plastic liner. its where the fender/bumper/headlight meets. pull the rubber piece back and you'll see a hidden 10mm bolt holding the bumper from the fender.

Thanks guys...none of you have the diagram from the manual, just so I don't mess it up? It kinda sounds exactly like my Z though. I really appreciate the feedback!

To remove the two screws in the bumper in the wheel well would be much easier if you just take the wheel off. That way you have more room to manuver the ratchet.

07 Sedan
I appreciate all the pics and advice guys, but they are for the wrong model year. As i said before, I can probably figure it out, but if anyone has removed an '07 bumper, explaining where the bolts are that I can't readily see is the most important part so I don't have to dig around...On my Z I never had to remove my wheels, you can just turn the wheel left and right to access the bolts. I'm looking for someone who removed their '07 sedan bumper...Anyone?
