CF wrap =) Gonna remove the panels and wrap it with CF by myself.

Im picking up the material 2 weeks from now... and yes, the material im picking up is exactly how its like on the M3!! no kidding.

Not glossy or anything crappy like that... just how it is on the M3 is what I manage to get!! Even the feel is accurate.. you can feel the weaves. hehe

WOOT WOOT. But thats just half the battle.. hehe the installation is gonna be hard work.. but if i manage to pull it off, its gonna be awesome. And it wouldnt be expensive since im doing the work myself. The fabric is 50 bucks. Everything else... is my time. Wish me luck!

Dude, careful though how thick is the stuff? It's possible that it would become too thick after you wrap it? If you get it to work, CAN YOU DO MINE?!

this material is very thin =)

and it stretches too.. so it would mold well on the the washi. The only thing that would make this look crappy is the workmanship of the person installing it. hehe

where are you located anyway? lol I live in Canada.

Lol Well I'm in Wisconsin right now. Lol Far away I guess unless you're right above me. But If it turns out well and it's not too hard, we can either 1) tell me where to buy this stuff so I can try to do it myself or 2) I'll ship you my trims pieces and stuff?!

haha seems like we are getting ahead of ourselves... lol Im still a long way from the completion of this project...if I can even manage it is that is.

But I think I can =) I already downloaded the service manual for the interior of our G's and looked at the blueprint on the removal of the instrument panels and the other panels.

Good luck.

Just a suggestion - check first before you permanently apply the weave. When I've worked w/ raw carbon fiber fabric, I noticed that if it gets stretched a bit, there can be gaps between the weave where you can see through. So, if you're covering something lighter in color (like washi trim) you may want to paint it darker first so you won't see the silver washi trim peeking through the weave.

if anyone has any experience with the aluminum finish around the radio, PM me. I have a new piece from the dealer that they ordered me for free when they scratched the old one servicing my bluetooth box. Want to change it myself.

yeah, all along the top where it meets the black plastic, I guess they were using pliers or knives or something to pry the aluminum off because it's got little scratches all the way left to right. The head mechanic guy was pretty pissed off when I told him about it. Passport Infiniti is a solid dealership.

you need to download the service manual.

It explains there how to remove it along with diagrams =)
