Need input from 6000k and 8000k Bulb Owners

Good morning...
New to this forum...glad I found a weath of info here....
I recently got an 08 G35 Journey pkg with the premium pkg....love the car....
I was thinking about upgrading the oem lights and was thinking about the 6K; but I see someone mention about the 3K HID Fogs...is there a kit available for the 08 G's to add a Fog light kit? I was surprise that the G didn't come with the fog lights like the M series....
What MFG do you recommend for the 6K bulbs and what should I expect to pay? Is is difficult to install?
I apologize for so many inquires....just trying to add a little flavor to my G....

You can get various bulbs for 6k you can get one for about $60 shipped from: http://shop.3bspecialties.com/produc...&productId=230
Or you can get a better quality philips bulb else where for about 100-120

Many with the 6000k say that there is only a hint of blue if any.
But the pictures posted in these forums look very blue.
It may be the exposure from the camera.
But pictures are very deceiving.
I ordered the 8000K because I wanted a bit of blue.
Unfortunately, I also live off dark County roads and I'm afraid that the light throw may not be enough.
I will install and see.
From reading the DIY, I know I don't need to remove the wheel.
But is jacking up the car necessary?

That color is from the projector and cutoff design, not the bulb color. Both of those cars use 4300k bulbs. You can keep a 4300k with all the output and just do a projector color mod to get that look. I did a minor mod on my S2000 and TL projectors on my G to get tons of purple while keeping 6000k bulbs for the output.

This is not my car and too low on the ground but gives you an idea of how much color you can get from just moving the shield and spacing the projector just right.
When you are driving, the best place to have your projectors aimed is with the cutoff right below the other traffic, so you don't give them any glare and every little bump they get a beautiful flash of purple.

I am working on a custom install of a true HID projector kit to fit into the lower portions of my sport bumper. Still debating on Philips 6K (to match my headlights) or Philips 3K bubs; and yes, Philips makes a 3K bulb, only avaialble in Japan; but have a guy who has them in stock for $200.
