I did this within a few weeks of buying the car. The yellowish lighting had to go.
The white LEDs have held up to 2 years now and still look great.

Great mod... not expensive and makes a drastic change for the better.

yeah, i have no idea why i waited 1.5 years to do this. it looks soooo much better. if you guys are bored, you can go to my "garage" and take a look at what white LEDs will do for your car (which IMO does wonders)

I can't figure out why I haven't gotten around to this myself. I checked out your pics and was wondering exactly what type of 194 bulb did you use? There appears to be quite a few white type 194 bulbs available.

It's really nice, but you lose the fade effect when you unlock or close the door.

I used these for the map lights:

I used these for the rest of the car (minus the license plate)
http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-LED/P...11110-1-2.html

These were for the license plate:

and yes, Csquared, you are correct that you will lose the fading out of the lights, but it is something i am willing to live with.

I don't think so you can get like a 12 led for the trunk but you close the dome. less than 12 and you'll see even less.
