The only right way to fix this would be to take it off clean the entire area with rubbing alcohol to get rid of any contaminants and wax, then reapply 3m double sided tape on entire diffuser and reinstall on a warm day and apply some painters tap on the corners to allow the adhesion to be firm and long lasting.

The quick and dirty way would be to get a piece of 3m tape and stick it in the gap and press together and apply some tape to hold in place and allow better adhesion for a few hours (i left it for a day). Or a NON-recommended but guaranteed way to keep it on would be apply some silicone sealant in the gap and pressing it together, but only do this if u are never planning to remove the diffuser, else taking the goo off will be a PITA though doable.

hope this helps.
