Which bulbs to get?

I want to replace my low and high beams. I was wondering what I should replace them with. Which brand is the best to go with? I was thinking 5k or 6k. Can I just upgrade just the bulbs or do I need to install a kit?

Thanks inadvance

you would only need the bulbs and thats all, as for what brand of bulb its all up to you!
philips is know for its exelant quality. i went with a ebay 6000K bulb from seller Supervtec. i buy all my hid kit, bulbs from him and him only, he has great Cs and warrantys his product fast if you need a replacement with in the time frame. i never needed replacement, but i know one person who did and he got the replacement bulbs in 2 or 3days mailing time!

To me, installing HID bulbs are a pain. I chose Philips Ultinon's also because they are OE quality--I don't want cheap bulbs burning out on me prematurely. If you compare construction quality, they are different, with the Philips being like OE capsules with metal standoffs. Cheap bulbs are just epoxied to a plastic base.
