not caliing you ot personally but
what if the 335 wouldnt have over heated if it was the model after bmw addressed intercooler issue(lack of, i should say). I know you can put a TT/T/SC in the G but think about how easy it would be to get a boost controller, chip the ecu and hit WOT... i wouldnt be surprised if a 335 with those mods give the upcoming m3 a run for its money...

What a pile it cant even handle 3 hard laps on the track who would want to spend 8K more than a G if you cant even track the car. Germans just cant hang with the Japanese!!!

Well, it is what it is. Let's not get into the modified car discussion because that always turns everything upside down. I get your point though... I still believe on the track, the G37 would be on its tail the whole time. It's a given that the 335i is quicker in acceleration, but the G37 does seem to have a better tuned suspension in its sports model for the road course.

Both are great cars. Personally, I would get the 335i Coupe if money weren't an issue.

I don't think its fair to generalize a car by its origin. Just as Japanese cars have their problems, that vary by car to car, the Germans do too.

Final report card.

G37= A
335= A- (purely based on over heating issues)(you can't win a race if you can't finish it)

And if Infiniti would ever wake up and at least make twin turbos an option the beemer wouldn't even be in the rear view mirror.

Can they first wake up and stop adding more horsepower and focus on torque. That is the biggest problem with our cars when it comes to performance.

Take the G and the extra $$$$$$$$ and mod it to make it your own, you'll be much happier and you'll have something no one else does.
