HD Video of my G35 / Special Agency Meet
I shot this using a friend's Nikon D90. I had no help shooting this so excuse the out of focus clips.
Enjoy and tell me what you think.

Good attempt. D90 not a bad beginner DSLR. Now Im a Pro Photographer and teach photography so what I have to say isn't to knock on your video at all. These are just some helpful hints on making great videos. Again no harm in my words.
The video has alot going on...there is no defined point (I know its about the g35 but no focus on layout) Structured video is important to a viewer. For example if you were to recap a football game, you wouldnt cut back to the crowd lining up to enter the stadium after halftime. Keep segments relative and have a starting point and ending point that flow. Tell a story without telling a story. (editing is very tricky and takes time to master).
Now its your friends camera so I can't comment on the Nikon. I shoot with a canon 1D and a Canon 5D mark II. The more efficient the processer in the camera the sharper imaging and quality obviously. The biggest thing with the imaging isnt so much that your shaking or not focused its that your friends memorey card is too slow to keep up with the HD in the camera. Most likely he has a low write speed which is whats causing your image to studder or leg in playback. The faster the write speed of the memorey card the faster the processor can upload its info which creates seamless recording. Smoothing is what you want, no delay and smooth constant video.
Use a tripod more and watch the angling of your light. Keep your horizons level. Id be interested to see what else you can come up with. There is alot of creativity out there. Again I teach this so take this as you want. No harm in my words. Keep using the camera and play with angles features and get a better memorey card.
You can check out some of my work on you tube since my website is under construction. No video up at this time but some Photo shoots in there.

Wow nice write up and I definitely appreciate critics. I wish everyone gave them. As for your comment about a lot going on I could agree, I was timing the clips based on the song n the song was pretty up beat.
I did my best tho to tell a story but ill work on that and watch my natural lighting and horizons.
I used my 16gb scandisk SD card so maybe that's the reason why it lags ?
I used a tripod in every clip up until the meet cause I had to push record n get to my car n drive all by myself n was trying to guess the focus distance.
I would love for you to look at my portraits too and critic those, thanks for your input !
I made this video back in the day with a crappy camera but it think its better than this one in terms of editing and story telling cuz i was more comfortable with it and the song was slower

What i was aying about the memory card before I think you may mis understood. Just to calrify. Its not the size of the card but the speed it processes. For example a card that writes 120X is slower than a card that rights 200x. So if I had a 32gb that writes at 120x its not as good as a card that is 8GB that writes at 200x .The d90 you should have a card that is no less than a class 8 I recomend class 10 with no less than 200x write speed. If you want perfect quality and no delays on video get a 400x or up to 600x now. Its crazy. But remember you can only write as fast as your camera can put out. Find the highest speed at which the camera performs and get the right card to maximize performace.
Hope some of that helps. Even check out wikipedia SD cards and do some quick research.

Oh wow thanks, i had no idea memory cards could effect the quality of a video . I'll have to look at the write speed of my card. Thanks for all your tips ill try to incorporate them in my next video !
No problem!
Keep up with the videos and try renting some good lenses if your using the Nikon. Somthing with good glass and Ultrasonic lens makes for great video. 24-105mm is a great range. What do you shoot with now...or do you just use your friends D90?
