Anyone going to firebird tonight? So far i'm going as long as rain clouds don't roll in. It will be me, Mr. turbo Tc haha and my buddy with an S2k and my old room mate is bringing his old 05 honda accord V6 with greddy exhaust lol probably only be there for a couple hours but if anyone will be out there let me know i'm leaving in about an hour or two

 

and as for the pavilions i'm not 100% sure if i'm going cause my car is filthy and i don't plan on washing it before then since the weather man says it's supposed to rain the next couple days.. if i do go i probably won't be showing my car.. i'll just park it with all the scions so it still looks good AHAHAH

I stay away from Firebird and Speedworld in the summer. Neither of them prep the tracks for @hit in the summer and with the heat your times are never good. I would wait a couple months for cooler weather and better times.

And I won't be making the Pavs this weekend... Found out today that I have to work tomorrow...

 

I hope thats the reason... I ran like $hit tonight it was really depressing the best run I had was a 15.6 but you also have to think about the 20" rims and the 75 pound subwoofer i have plus box and two amps so that may have had a factor but i was still really sad i thought i would be in the 14's it was fun though... I only lost twice.... but i also didnt set myself up with cars that i knew would smoke me

 

I think firebird is among the worst of the worst for a 1/4 mile track

you're 1st gen modded sedan ran a best of 15.6 yet there is a guy here with a STOCK 1st gen sedan running 13.8 in the quarter.

 

I'm calling out B.S. on that one a 13.8??? that just doesn't sound believable my buddy's evo ran a 13. flat and that thing was fast as frick. I have heard that our cars are supposed to be in the mid 14's though... Just a question though, what does it have to do with the track, i'm not an expert on this stuff so i'm just curious how it effects racing?
