San Francisco Help
I've gotta go up to the Bay Area this weekend (arriving Fri night, leaving Sunday).
I need to locate a hotel in the $50 to $75/nite range....as I will have a bunch of wife relatives with me. What's a good hotel (3 to 4 stars) We have a banquet in SF on Sat night, with relatives in Milpitas...It's been a few years since I've been in the bay area (actually lived in Napa or a couple of years), so i just want to make sure I pick a good neighborhood. I can usually work a good deal on the internet if someone can point me at a good hotel.
Ramadas, Holiday Inns, Hilton (brand/family) is always a good bet for a cheap stay.
Thanks, ted

Re: San Francisco Help
Ted,
You comin up to my neck of the woods?
There's actually a lot of hotel deals going on right now.
If you want something simple, you can go to Holiday Inn.
It's located in on Kearny Street x from Portsmouth Square Parking Garage. It's right in the heart of SF!
Everything is close by. Kearny Street is between the financial district (Pyramid / Transamerica Building), Union Square, Market Street, the EMBARCADERO (the piers) are all within walking distance or bus (cable car/metro) - Then you have Fisherman's Wharf and the GG Bridge and of course Chinatown is a few feet away and Northbeach (Little Italy x Chinatow) -
PM me when u get in! I have time on Sunday to show u around -
check out www.citysearch.com (san francisco) so many good restaurants and bars in SF!
