Oh man..

So we are driving on Van Nuys Blvd. and are near the Infiniti dealership. My friend decideds that he wants to go test drive the 6mt sedan. We get in the car and the salesman drives it casually to a street and pulls over. My friend gets and the salesman tells him he can drive however he wants. Boy did he let it rip... 1st gear: redline, 2nd gear: redline, 3rd gear: chirps it and redline, gets it into 4th, then 5th, and even 6th all on the street. Managed to hit 101 on kester ave! The salesman was totally mystified, but kept his cool since he agreed on it . As we approach the dealership he enters slowly. When we get out, car reeks of a combination of clutch and brake aroma.

What a ride...
Moral to this story: Those 6 speed sedan's have A LOT OF *****, I was impressed.

I did almost the same thing with an eclipse test drive. salesman said no problem. I had the car sideways on a freeway offramp. this is a pretty good achievement considering it was a FWD car.

I had a similar experience when I test drove for my 6MT sedan. Incredibly fun and the salesman had a smile on his face the whole time!
