Your dispelling someone else's theory on RT cats and laying claim to your own on CAI's. People love to talk about intakes. And which one is the best alway's brings out the opinionator's. But it's never a discussion of fact's, no one post's dyno's to back up what they say. I know the theories, Doug's OEM pressurization theory, and the long tube is harder to draw from theory. But when we say CAI's loose torque, I'd like to know what information exists that show's this as a ironclad fact, which you mush know of or else you wouldn't have be spreading the claim around as such. I've never seen a dyno on ANY car that added a CAI that show's torque loose.
BTW, props to you for driving all that way to a meet, shows you have style IMO.

im kind of confused with what you say first... in the first sentance that is...
I did word it wrong.. it should hvae been more along the lines of CAI's and intakes in general on OUR CARS / (VQ35DE) add power above 4500 to redline, and not so much below that... so in other words.. it is not a loss, but no gain... I have dyno's laying around from every mod done on mine and jjeffs car... and.. we will have a dyno installed at our facility soon and naturally we will have a stock car to dyno new parts individually and give actual dyno numbers not numbers from the lowest baseline pull to the highest post mod pull...

I don't give a [censored] what any of it says. My car is fast and if you don't think so bring it on.
And why didn't you bring this to my attention at the meet? You should have voiced you opinion to my face about the cats and Injen intake. How did you respond?

P.S. Be sure to look me up at the next meet, I'll be looking forward to it.

I kind of tried, but didnt want to be the guy talking this and that without hard proof with me... i dont like stepping on toes...
The Test Pipes are differnet.. i dont have a dyno handy.. but they do cause the exhaust gasses to tumble out of the exhaust causing them to not se as much gain as the RT Cats do..
if you want to see a pre/post Crank Pulley dyno here it is..
http://members.aol.com/performancenismo/jeffdyno.jpg
they are safe on the VQ35DE since the engine is internally ballanced and there is no harmonic damper on the OE Crank pulley...
best mods IMHO for power and dollar...
Z-Tube / Pop Charger
RT High Flow Cats
UR Crank Pulley
When it comes down to it.. the best gain from the intake and a cat back exhaust system is the smile from the sound
it is awsome no matter which route you choose...

Re: Sacramento meet~~
Jason, thank you for the reply. The first sentance means, your posting to say the theory on RT cat's if wrong, yet your posting your own theory about CAI's, which is equally suspect as the RT cat theory you just shoot down. I have the Injen CAI, but for the purpose of not bringing in any personel bias, I searched for dyno's and other owner comments. As opposed to most people on the subject of intakes, I don't have a problem with several systems for these cars, it's been proven to me by a number of dyno's and owner comments that several systems can and do make power. The proponderance of evidance forces me to take that stance. Until their is a intake dyno shoot out, answering the question of which one is the best or does the best things for the power band will be ruled by whose OPINION is delivered most convincingly. I will say with the search I ran on the subject of CAI torque, that I learned somethings that cast some additional light on the whole intake subject in general. Glad I ran the search.

Re: Sacramento meet~~
Thanks to all of you for the input and comments. I do totally agree with Jason on 1 thing. The sound of my exhaust puts a smile on my face. (but I still say it added hp enough to notice without a dyno to tell me)
