Haha! I am very familiar with the "red" envelopes myself. The place to be today was Hing Wa Lee Jewelers at Colima and Batson. The owner was handing out the envelopes to everyone that passed by! Too cool. A lot of my clients are Asian, and I know that they are celebrating the year of the "monkey." I'm not Asian myself, but I do have a true understanding of this holiday. Maybe somebody can help me on this one. I know "beer" in Mandarin sounds like "P Joe." I just don't know the spelling. I think that would make an interesting personal plate for the G. Just a thought. Mooser, "P Joe" is as close as you're going come to spelling Beer in Mandarin since you can't really "spell" Chinese words in English. I guess someone out there knows the pin-yin, but I never really liked pin-yin since the rules of pronunciation aren't always intuitive.

I would have spelled it Pee Joe--enunciation is correct, and you get a bonus word describing the beverage's color.

Bro, once again something has come up. I would just go to meet some of you guys. I'm 10 minutes from there. Here's the bad news. A VERY close friend of my wife passed away on Wednesday in Chandler, AZ. We are flying out in the morning for a 3pm funeral. Wife, mother of 2, and 45 years old. Sucks huh?
