Palmdale Race Times

Hey For all the people that have been there that have stock coupes.

1. What were your fastest times?
2. What were you average times?

I went there this past friday night and was running 15.08, 15.09, and 15.12

Those were my times. I know its kinda slow but it was my first time. Please if you can please post thanks. Will have the vids of that night up real soon so be on the look out.

Nice try man! Just keep working on your launch.. that is what probably threw you off. I tend to launch at high 2.1k-2.2k. Of course I launch with my auto so I power torque to around 3k, let the rpms fall and try to launch at my target RPM range.

We should go together next time.. I know Jason (performancenismo) would go with us.

Re: Palmdale Race Times

My best was 15.2 @ 9? MPH (cheap tires/17in stock)
My worst was 16.1 first time in my coupe at the track.
I've seen a 350Z do 14.9 at it's best.....

p.s... Palmdale is not a good track for times,it's just for fun. it's to high in altitude, and the track itself tends to get slippery very quickly. for timed runs you need one at sea level and decent temperatures.

Re: Palmdale Race Times

15.0 at LACR in Palmdale is about right. If you work on your lauch you'd manage *high* 14.9s. I think 14.90 is about as good as it's going to get.

Time's not only hurt by LACR's high altitude (~3000ft above sea level) ... the less than ideal track surface condition and surface temperature all play a big part in the dismal E.T.

Again, 15.0 is not bad @ LACR
