Well guys, It's currently 11:41 p.m. and as I look into the sky, all I see is a few clouds and some stars shining out throught night sky. It doesn't look that bad at all, but we'll have to see in the morning. It hasn't rained at all today. I drove down to Del Mar for my sons doctor appoinment and back to Temecula, and no rain. I was just down in Santee this evening and saw no rain. I think you guys are just letting the weatherman scare you. I mean really! How often is the weatherman right? Well if it's not raining at 10:00 a.m. tommorrow, I'll be waiting at the gas station. Remember, just because it's raining on the coast doesn't mean it's raining out here or on the mountains. So if it doesn't rain and nobody shows, I'm calling all of you chickens when we meet again. Come on, what's a little water? except time for another carwash.

Well, its almost 8AM and still no rain where I am. It was supposed to rain for the past 24 hours, but haven't seen a drop. It is very dark cloudy though.

I just checked weather.com and looked at the satellite map in motion. I'm no weatherman, but it looks like most of the rain is over the ocean and in L.A. Julian looks dry for at least the first half of the day. I think if our run is done by about noon, we should be fine. I think at worse it would be a spotty isolated shower here and there.

So I plan to go. My car is dirty anyway, so some rain will make it cleaner [img]/w3timages/icons/wink.gif[/img] . If the roads get wet, we'll just take it easy and go slow - it'll still be fun.

All right Z06ified! Well if ILUST4G still comes, I guess that will be three since the others decided to drop out. That's alright though, means lunch will be less expensive. So I'll see you at the gas station a 10:00. I'm right next to the casino, and like you said. it's gray out there but no rain. It should be fine.

I don't know guys It was pouring at my place in Riverside last night. I see the sun trying to poke through right now, but it still looks like heavy rain is coming. It will take half an hour to get to Temecula from my place if the sun pushes through then I'll be there. So if I leave around 930ish I should be ok.

Well it there was only 3 of us. Myself, SoCalG35, and Z06ified. There were no pics taken this trip unfortunately. It was a little sprinkley, but not bad at all. We had a good cruise up to Julian, the only problem was a little Hyundai Accent that was going up Palomar aswell. We were stuck behind him for a while. Any way, sorry all you guys missed out on the pie SoCalG35 paid for. It was so good! So I guess we're going to try for this up coming Saturday for the next HUMONGUS trip? Talk to you guys later.

Yeah this was more of a scenic drive instead of a spirited one. That dang Hyundai was driving me nuts too. I could hardly wait for it to become legal to pass.

That drive to Julian is a very nice drive. Lots of switchbacks and scenic vistas. Too bad about the weather but it was still a lot of fun.

I didn't take any pics this time since it wasn't the best picture-taking weather.

Guess we'll have to try this again sometime...

 

So is next Saturday cruise still a go? Forecast says it will only be partly cloudy and the sun will be showing. Shall we start a new thread or just use this one?
