Got a scratch on the curb of my Volks. Need to know a good place in San Diego that can fix that???

Don't know of anywhere in San Diego but check out the local delership. I boy had the same prob and the dealer in Mission Viejo fixed the curb scrape to perfection for $150.00. www.fixrim.com can do it but they are in LA.. I also have a friend that owns a wheel manufacturing co. in Hunnington Beach. I know he can do it but it might be too far for you.

I feel you pain bro. I live in SD too. Its so weak down here. We just don't have many options. Lucky for me I work up in LA and OC a few days a week. And NO, I don't abuse my G like that every day on that crazy 5/405. I use a rental since my co. pays for it when I driver over 150mi/day.

I checked for this also regarding curb rashes on the lip of the rim. I already had 4 quotes from rim repair shops that they cannot repair it. They are telling me that they have to replace the entire lip for it to match the rest correctly.

- Don't argue with idiots. They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.=P-

 

If the lips are chromed...they'll have to sand down the rash area and eventually re-chrome the whole thing. Cost $$$. My suggestion is...just live with it if its not obvious... If you get more rashes on the same rim later on...then it'd be the time to fix.

 

The lip on the volks have clear coat, so they have to fix, repolishes it and get it clear coated. It just takes too long and costs around $200-250 to do it. I'll just leave like that for the time being
