Nah, my brother got a ticket for having his windshield on his dash even though a different cop in a different city told him it was okay. I told him to fight it, but it's realy not worth it.

Yeah, unfortunately he's not required to show you. However, if you get an attony for the case and he used a radar detector you have a whole bunch more things that could go wrong for the cop.

Re: Anybody Know Any Good Attorneys For Speeding...?

Been few years ago but I got a ticket for 100+ on the toll road in RSM. I asked the judge for traffic school to clear the points and he sent me to something called NTSI Level 2 Traffic School. Under the name on the brochure it said "Traffic School for problematic Drivers." Don't know if that'll help or not. Again there's always the slim chance if you fought the ticket and the guy doesn't show you might get off. Somebody told me once that he called and found out what day the cop was off and postponed his court date accordingly. Don't know if that's true but maybe? Hope I manage to stay clean as one ticket for a 25 year old would send my already insane insurance throught the roof. Ha ha.

Hey, hoshtaylor... how's the research going on the ticket problem? Come up with anything?

I, umm... just got a 90 in a 70 coming back on I-15 from Vegas. The cop said the aircraft observed me travelling that fast. Darn aircraft.

I'm wondering if the fact that the ticket says my car is Silver might help... probably not, since DP looks silver in bright sunlight.

I've gone down I-5 in CA lots of time, but always with my scanner programmed to the aircraft CHP frequencies. I have monitored the chatter between the aircraft and the ground CHP squads. It's posted for 70, and they generally won't bother you at 85, but beyond that, they're after you. I once heard the pilot say that he was low on fuel and was heading back to the base airport to refuel. At least for awhile, I knew I didn't have to worry about the CHP in the sky for a while. :-) My V1 has really saved my butt on many a occasion.

Re: Anybody Know Any Good Attorneys For Speeding..

My attorney got me out of the 100+mph speeding ticket...well...I got a $300 fine and a 'regular' speeding ticket...which there was no mph posted for insurance...which is a hell of a lot better than getting dinged for 103. My other ticket which I got last month was for 85 in a 65...Mr. Ticket is helping me with that...but my court date hasn't arrived yet...so I'm not sure what will happen on that one...I'll keep you guys posted on that one.

Mr. Ticket: (619) 563-1515

Not sure if he goes outside San Diego County though...

I just gave my other attorney's name to Edward for his 100+. He travels...so if you need that his name is Larry Leigh (858) 455-5015 ex 107...tell him Josh Taylor referred you.

check www.lawyers.com. Or search on web for American Bar Associations. Some places you can call and get a free consultation. The other option is checking with your employer if they have any pre-paid law benefit. If your employer does, you may be entitled to a free consultation, along with discounted hourly fee for retaining the lawyer.

Re: Anybody Know Any Good Attorneys For Speeding...?

"Mr. Ticket" in San Diego is a good resource. I used him once. Also, in California, if you go before the judge you can ask to attend traffic school again but it is two days instead of one. That school is usually for DUI and multiply time affenders... like an AA meeting for speeders.

Don't just plead guilty... hope you played your cards right when you got pulled over.
