The schedule has changed a bit due to some new construction on the dam-- I ran the route today and came up with an average speed of 20mph, as the pedestrian traffic on the dam, combined with new construction, is slowing everything down. Please see the revised schedule below:

Friday: Same schedule. Meet at Timber's upon arrival in Vegas.

Saturday-
11:00am- Parking lot showoff at Green Valley Ranch. We were going bowling to wait for the people coming in on Saturday, however no one's waiting until Saturday to leave from Cali, so we've cancelled the reservation at the alley. This allows us to show off our cars in their best condition, as well, as it will be pre-cruise [img]/w3timages/icons/smile.gif[/img] We'll also beat the mid-afternoon heat.

~1:00pm- Lunch at Green Valley Ranch buffet. Please contact me if you do NOT plan to eat with the group, as it affects the reservation.

After lunch, we'll have some free time to explore, gamble, go back to the hotel, etc. and then we'll meet back up at GVR at around 4:30pm to begin the cruise. If anyone wants a world-class spa treatment (*cough*LMaz*cough*), this is the place to get it in that free time

4:30-7:00- Cruise. The alternate cruise route that we've firmed up is an amazing 110 mile round trip that goes up 8,000 feet to Mt. Charleston. The roads wind through the desert rocks, then into a canyon, then up into alpine territory. You can watch as we go from flat sandy roads to winding roads through the pine forest, and get a great view of the valley. gdupg35 and I took this route yesterday, and I think he'd agree that the views are awe-inspiring, and there are plenty of great places to take pictures.

Since there are so many wonderful places to eat in Vegas, you can choose your dining for the night. We will, however, make a group reservation at a restaurant TBD at the showoff in the morning for those interested. There will be some locals (Gdup, pingo, me) that can help you choose a local place if you want special cuisine (sushi anyone?).

We will have limos reserved for the evening, as well. The cost for a limo ride to and from the strip will run at approximately $15 per person, round trip, depending on the number of people who wish to take the limos. I would encourage everyone to take advantage of this ride, as the strip can be very congested on a Saturday night, and getting there and back in any timely manner can be somewhat of a nightmare if you don't know the back roads very well. Also, no DUIs on the trip. I'll call your wife, but I won't bail you out.

The limos will pick everyone up at 3am from our specified meeting location downtown, TBD. Once we ascertain where everyone wishes to spend their time that night, we'll pick a central pickup location. The limos will leave promptly at 3am for the hotel, so plan on tipping your dancer and getting out at 2:45ish.

You'll all receive information and maps when you arrive on Friday night, as well as a list of cell #s of those in the party.

Get ready to have some fun, Vegas-style.
