haha, just got the PM right now. I hate to not go especially if someone on this forum is going to make it out there but looks like I'm gonna have to pass also. Got class on Wednesday nights and I just went last week during my spring break. I'll be able to go during May for sure. Honestly, 1 day notice is really short. =P

From what I hear, California Dragway has a much nicer pavement, and better times since it's at a lower altitude. I've never been to lacr so I can't compare, but I've had a pleasant experience at cali dragway. Only thing that's missing are the time display boards:

but then again, I took that pic 2 years ago hehe. Maybe we should hold the next drag event here! We can set up a tent and have a bbq at the same time. Here's the Street Legal schedule for the rest of the year:

Yup Cali Drag way is wayyy better, however, it is hell to be there. You'll likely only end up w. 1 or maybe 2 runs if you're lucky.

The condition at Palmdale (LACR) is horrible, but you can get plenty of runs in early on. Not so great for setting personal bests, but great for practice or just friendly competitions.

I'll roll with ya next time Randy, but no Wednesdays for me. I'm booked on Wednesday nites!

Wow, I could have gone yesterday, I had the whole day off, but I work in El Segundo and getting to Palmdale would prob. take about 1.5 to 2 hrs and that would get me there by about 7 or 7:30. Do they race like this on weekends or is it just pros? I have never dragged my car, and I think I'm due.

I work in Beverly Hills, the drive is the same for me and it's not 2 hours. It's 60 miles from my office. I chose tonight because Fridays it;s next to impossible to get there before 8pm if you leave LA at 5pm. Wed night freeways aren't as congested. Let me know if you change your mind. We can meet up and drive together.
