Prado Park?! No way dude there is poultry farm across the street. With the hot sun and a stiff breeze of wind you can kiss that BBQ goodbye. With the full blown smell of the poultry farm going to the park no one will be able to eat. I suggest Bonelli park in San Dimas or Carbon Canyon park of Lambert. This is just a suggestion cus I use to pass by there everyday to avoid the 91 fwy and it never ever smells good.

I go to Griffith Park in Los Angles. (between LA and Burbank ) on 5 freeway. I saw lots of poeple who went to picnic for BBQ.I think that's mretty much public facilities to use...

Alright I think Sam whined enough... I vote for June 11th... Griffith Park sounds like a great idea as well... Haemi with an idea like so why wouldn't anyone reply?.. Now who's gonna be responsible for contacting the appropriate people to reserve the space at the park?.. I guess I could try and see what I can do... Let's not start a thread on this until we have a definite site and date... I will start looking into park space availability.

yes, it's a public park I go there everyday except monday, it's quite packed from the morning... but always some people who live near the park can occupy the tables and grill by being there a little early. usually sundays are more packed with people ...but as long as we are there before 10;40ish, we will be fine ....the parking situation is pretty good. you can watch your car easily..and.. parking availablity is fine I think.

Griffith Park is open to the public from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Bridle trails, hiking paths, and mountain roads are closed at sunset. The speed limit on all park roads is 25 mph and is strictly enforced.
