If any of you are thinking about a Porter Cable dual action random orbit polisher kit, Meguiar's has a sale on them right now with a lifetime warranty for 149$ (ends 9-30-04, before Mike gets to show you guys what it can do unfortunately).

You can get the same one at coastal tools for 120$ w/ a backing plate (I got mine there 2 years ago), but there is no lifetime warranty, or extra foam pad. All in all if you were to add everything up it would amount to about the same.

If any of you guys decide to get one, I highly recommend the porter cable brand no matter where you purchase it from. and also pick up some Meguiars DACP.

GRider35C, it is fine to use a random orbit buffer (like the Porter Cable Dual Action Polisher). They do not spin like a rotary tool.

An rotary on the other hand can eat your paint up in seconds if you do not know what you are doing. Mike will probably show you guys the difference.

Random orbit polishers dont create enough heat to marr or harm your paint. You should always use caution when using tools on your baby though =). If you do not know how to use one, you will learn at Meguiar's detail day.

Hey my car was in an accident about a month ago. The body shop there should be about 10 to 14 days left. Usually it takes more. If i dont have my car back 1 week before this date i will drop my name from the list.

Hopefully my car will be ready to go and everything will be set.
