I'm not a frequent poster on these forums, but would be interested in watching. What time do you guys get to actually get on the track? I will be heading down to Corona this weekend form the Bay Area to visit my sister, and may stop by the track on the way. I ask because I need to leave by 12 noon.

Racing starts at 8:00am or so they are telling us afre the million meetings and registration. Might be out of you way if your coming from SF but hey thats G honor i guess!!!! hope to see you there

 

Yup, leave as you like. 1st run group should be up and running around 8 o'clock. Keep in mind, there is a $10 entry fee at the gate.

I just got off the phone with Aaron Bitterman (Co-founder of Speed Ventures) and I have great news for everyone. Timing is 'On the House' ... yes, that means FREE ... courtesy of Speed Ventures and the new 350Z/G35 Challenge Series. So really you're only responsible for $120 + optional instructor's fee.

The other thing is Aaron's short on instructing staff tomorrow, so he's asked me to filled one of the spot. I'll be taking on two pupils, one of which is Arash (who needs help badly ... j/k!) and another who's yet to be determined.

The way it's going to work is very simple ... for every mistake made, you buy me a G35 go-fast part! Heh heh! Kidding of course. In all seriousness, I will fill you in on the details tomorrow.

BTW ... Aaron's was excited that quite a few G35s are making a showing. He also had some nice things to say about Ed Eagle1's SC Coupe!

I've decided against hauling a full set of track wheels and tires to and from the track. Instead, I will just mount them and forget about it. The weather is good and destination not particularly far, so I shouldn't be skating around on the street too much ... it'll save me a lot of scrambling at the track.

Damn that was a hot one today. Nevertheless it was still a blast even just to spectate. BTW thanks Randy for giving me a ride on the track that was mucho fun. With the heat and all the G force pulling on the turns gave me a headache. And thanks to Clint for letting me borrow his helmet. Hey can I use an open face helmet instead of the closed one? I'll be posting some pics shortly cars on the pits no track pic. One more thing nice meeting new faces today Ed, AJ and Arash hope to see you guys on the next track.
