There is also the Arizona Motorsports Park near Luke AFB:
it got shut down due to being "too noisy" despite the fact that its literally a few hundred feet away from the end of an air force base runway
I know the gate has a lock on it though
The guy has been fighting to try to get it reopened with no luck so far, all that money down the drain.
I've never done the Vulture Mine run, but I have hit the major twisty roads on the bike. The Cactus Lake/Tortilla Flat route is fun, but it's really tight and if you get stuck behind a sightseer, your basically stuck there until the lake. Same with Bartlett Lake. The best route I've taken on the bike was to US-60 to Globe, Globe to Show Low, Show Low through the Salt River Canyon over to Payson and down to PHX. The only problem is that it's long...like 6 hours with stops, but some of the best high speed twisties I've experienced. Maybe we could do a shortened version of that. Just my $.02
BTW...since we're on the subject of test tracks...what is this one. It's by my new house and I've seen the guardrail from 19th Ave. Somehow, I doubt it's the Phx greyhound track.

Heard back from my other friend about Vulture Mine:
"There are some curves at the beginning, but nothing spectacular..... it was just fun because no one was ever on the road so we could haul ***....
Plus it has a 4 mile straight....."

Man if you are that close to me we need to go get a beer some night!
Happy hour at Applebees, PF Changs or something!
That track belongs to a place that does automotive safety testing. My friend Jarett (with the black GTO) interviewed with them a few times and was going to go to work there. I tried hard and talked him into staying here so I had someome to talk to.
Plus they pay him more here!
That Show Low - Payson drive sounds great but we will have the same snow/ice cinders on the road issue as Prescott right now. I would love to plan something like that for the spring.

so since it says open test lane for all does that mean we can go?
Yeah it does. Test and tune lane is open for everyone as long as you pass tech. You will need a helmet if you are into the 13's (I think that what it is). If you have aftermarket Turbo/SC/Nitrous you also need a fire jacket. And if you go under 11.5 you need an NHRA style roll cage.

Yes you have lots of room for improvement. Keep VDC off and practice your launches.
I'm not one to talk right now since my launches suck but I have some power/traction issues not too common on G's. LOL
