Re: Potential CA Meet

we had a VW/AUDI norcal meets socal meet a few months back, turn out was way more than expected i would say about 300+ cars showed up. It was held in SLO, that was the middle for both norcal and socal.

Re: Potential CA Meet

Sounds good, but it's gonna take a LOT of support to make that happen...

the meet had some pretty good coverage..a few magazines were out there...Eurotuner did a lil thing on it as well as European car. Neuspeed came out and gave away a few things they had a booth as well. Take a look at this article in european car http://www.europeancarweb.com/events...c_socalnorcal/
i was really surprised at the outcome. The organizers did an awesome job and the meet wasnt even largely publisized other than the forums. Oh and on the way up we ran into a porsche caravan going to a meet also.

Re: Potential CA Meet

To get that kind of coverage would be great but what can we do other than meet and hope that somebody knows someone at a mag or a retailer who can get us some coverage. Do we all want to start paying for this? If we do want to pay for the club then we really have more work to do like get chapters organized, set dues, rules of conduct, regular meeting times & places and I am sure there is a laundry list of stuff. I would pay but thats me not everyone else. I am just adding my 2 cents. Let me know if I am off base with this.

you arent off base but i think that the G35 community is not large enough yet to start having organized chapters etc.

Re: Potential CA Meet

All that coverage would be great, but I think we need to have some successful local and combined meets first...

isn't there a racetrack in the bakersfield/fresno area? maybe we can get something to happen there and do some driving.

Re: Potential CA Meet

What I also want to say is that we have alot to do and, as you stated, maybe not enough people to do it with. I feel that we need to start some where/time and now seems as good as any. I down to start and pay for my share as well. Let me know.

Re: Potential CA Meet

You are right we need to have some combined meets. There is one being planned for the end of July so that may be the first test. Lets hope we pass
